[107/301] No one had to “Twist” my arm to go to Oliver’s for lunch today. Their corned beef sandwich is a local favorite and so delicious! My combo included a bag of chips made in Boulder and a Loveland made Lemon-Lime soda. Pick through YOUR pocket (or two) and stop by to get one too! Discover more...

Today's cooler temperatures had me craving some really good comfort food. One of my dad's favorite places to eat when visiting Colorado Springs was The Mason Jar in Old Colorado City. Today's visit reminded me again just why that was. The Chicken-Fried Chicken was fork tender and smothered with perfectly seasoned white gravy. Several side options are available, including home-made mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. A basket of delicious cornbread and rolls were also included with the meal. Drinks are served in mason jars. The blackberry margarita is a local favorite. Tonights special was barbeque ribs and based on the platters I saw being delivered to tables nearby I'll be looking forward to trying them on my next visit! Discover more...
So many great choices make it challenging to make a quick decision. This time I settled on the Turkey Avocado Wrap with a side of potato salad and once again was not disappointed! Discover more...
There’s nothing like a soft, old fashioned sugar cookie. My wife and I were passing an Amish farm while traveling through central Ohio one day when we spotted some Amish children selling cookies alongside the road. They were absolutely delicious, and the children were so happy and excited that we stopped. Our local businesses right here in Colorado Springs are a lot like that. They put out their very best everyday for us to enjoy, and they are happy and excited when we stop in and give them the opportunity to share with us. We have a wonderful variety of local businesses. Take time to explore. Take time to enjoy. Discover more at DiscoverCOS.com.
